I was raped in 2007.
My best friend of 7 years was in the Army, and when I said I was going to kill myself, he told me to please wait for 2 days.
I didn't hear from him for 2 days. He came home on emergency leave, and held me as he cried, thanking me for waiting.
We got married yesterday. He GMH

It's a terrible idea, but what if the only happy endings are a result of suffering through Parts I, II, and III? As if struggling and going through hardships and pain are necessary payment for success or the truly good things in life. I wouldn't be surprised if it were true though.
I've struggled since high school to get where I am now and yet I'm not even sure if it's going to pay off in the future. I wonder if I'm just wasting time sometimes. Talked to one of my closest friends from high school earlier and she said that I should follow your heart & don't worry too much about what other people think. She waited 5 years before going to grad school, but finally got her masters a few years back, has been married for 5 years and has a little one on the way. I really wonder how this future of mine is going to turn out because the alternatives weren't as glamorous as my overactive Imagination made them out to be.
It was naive of me to believe that I could find someone to rely on. Because reliance is the same thing as dependence and you really shouldn't depend on any single person (people plural are okay) because if they're out of the picture then it's terrifying to be on your own again.
I'm persistent though, it's one of my strong points so I'm sure everything will go well. Even if it's alone.
